The down side of weight loss

Posted on 8:07 PM, under

So...after 6 hours in an ER on Wednesday night, I was informed by my very awesome (not a joke) ER doctor that gall stones are a pretty common side effect of rapid weight loss.  He also confirmed that having them is painful.  Which I really didn't need verification of seeing as I had spent the aforementioned previous 6 hours crippled with abdominal pain. Abdominal pain so bad I had Nina running red lights to get me to the hospital.  That's right, I made my wife break the law. Does that make me a bad husband? Turns out, I will have to have my gall stone-filled gall bladder removed. That's right.  I'll be going under the knife.  I was thinking yesterday, maybe I could sneak a camera into my surgery so I could make a stop motion video.  That would be cool. But probably unlikely.  Anyway, I'm not really nervous, but maybe I should be. Have any of you had your gall bladders removed?  Is there some secret club I get to be in once I have the procedure? That would be cool.
